Trad Guy looks for Rad Gal! I'm an Eastern Catholic in the Maronite tradition. I grew up Baptist but decided to convert to Catholicism in high school after doing some research and becoming convinced that it's the truest expression of Christianity.

Please permit me to say a little about myself, in a more or less rambling manner akin to what you might find on a dating site.

People often tell me I'm funny, but they never specify whether I'm funny looking or funny sounding! Personally, I tend to suspect I'm both! I've got a superb sense of humor that you'll either love or hate. Imagine if Jeff Foxworthy and Monty Python had a love child--no wait, actually, don't imagine that! Anyway, I lighten the mood and set folks at ease because I don't take myself too seriously. You know, they say that angels can only fly because they take themselves so lightly! And we're all called to be angels.

I have a tremendous love for other people, I'm very active in my church community, and I consider myself to be a spiritual individual (I hope God agrees). I feel honored to be Catholic, but I'm extremely accepting of different viewpoints as long as they're voiced peacefully and reasonably. When I die, I want these words carved on my tombstone: "Friend to all, enemy to none." That's my life philosophy!

I'm also in a wheelchair. The official name of my disability is arthrogryposis, and it involves fusion of various joints in my arms and legs. My disability is non-progressive (it votes Republican) and affects nothing essential to a relationship or a marriage. Plus, I get to drive a pimped-out chair, full-speed, downhill in San Marcos! So it's all good.
