I'm a born and raised Hawai'i girl who moved to Colorado to finish high school in Littleton. I'm now on my way to college away from my comfort net of my youth group and want to meet new older Catholic friends. I'm half native Hawaiian, half Irish Catholic, known as a Hapa-Haole. I'm very in touch with my native Hawaiian roots. I spend a lot of time caring for my mom and working, but when I'm not doing that I enjoy doing youth ministry and trying to snowboard (even though it's no replacement for skiing). I love being outdoors and seeing God's creation first hand. I'm very headstrong and have that beach attitude, but I try to apply to the love that God supplies us all.

My most significant religious experience was being Confirmed at St. Frances this past year. I felt a whole new connection to God and was invigorated to explore my faith. This especially meant a lot since two of my siblings were involved in the shootings at Columbine High in '99 and I turned my back on my faith then. My mother has been very ill with lupus and since I moved to Colorado from Hawai'i to care for her my youth group and parish has been my backbone. To this day nothing is more meaningful or calming to me than to sit and pray and think while at perpetual adoration (or maybe pray in my own special way during a hiking or snowboarding or surfing adventure!!!)

An ideal day would be a hike at Deer Creek Canyon just as the sun as setting and maybe a picnic. Nothing fancy, just enjoying the outdoors and good company. I'd love to talk about how religion relates to us on a personal level and in a laid back comfortable setting in nature. I love to laugh.
